Art Education
and the Didactics of Art Education
professors: Hana Babyrádová, Petr Exler, Petra Šobánová
The most significant mark of truly “contemporary” and “professional”
teaching of Art Education is the direct connection of artistic creation
to the educational aspect. In this sense Art Education is appreciated
primarily as “latent” education—i.e., an attempt at
education which develops via working with materials and ideas, without
a prior construed form of the resulting artefact. The artistic activity
of children or students can be motivated by the study of art works tried
and tested by time, but more often it arises from the stimulus of an unmediated
reflex to life and thus exists together with “free-style art”
in independent simultaneity.
