In my field, I take craft to be as important as talent. My tasks for students are intended with respect to both of these aspects. One must be trained in both in order to progress. A deficit in one or the other always shows.
In my life, I understand art as the goal, but while teaching I use art as a medium. Students at our school are profiled differently than at art schools and their approach is in the main part different.
